Ask a Korean: Why is #MarryHimIfYouDare Off? #Kdrama Tweeter Discussion

  1. Do you know if the korean networks are aware of increasing interest of korean dramas among western audiences?

Well, they have been more active in licensing and copy right protection lately. Just seeing that immediate licensing after something starts is not even common for U.S. stuff.
However, they do see difficulties is monetizing compared to other countries.
It's still niche and Korea entertainment firms do not have the reach to develop markets and new revenue far from Korea

  3. There is something lacking with Marry Him but I just can't put a pin just yet... The acting is pretty cute but that's about it. The plots are quite scattered everywhere. Maybe they intended it this way... oh well

First, the script is like I wrote it while half drunk and blind.
Every line a dialog coming out of the characters' mouth should be something that what you think the character might say! In Marry Him case, the show has not show you that the characters are THAT dumb yet!

Second, you have people act weird and there is no reaction by the other characters. It like they are a memory of a goldfish.

Third, The two versions of the female lead at no point seem like the same person! They have no chemistry together! All of the other actors are over the top like some one spiked the coffee!

SO, crappy series see my review of
Juunen Saki mo Kimi ni Koishite which Marry Him ripped off
